Price, 84, of Eau Claire died on Thursday, February 17,\r\n2011 at Syverson Lutheran Home. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nShe was born on October 31, 1926 in Eau Claire, a daughter of Elmer and Inga\r\n(Peterson) Johnson.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nElaine married Elmer A. Price at First\r\nLutheran Church\r\nin Eau Claire\r\non November 4, 1950.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nShe earned her LPN degree in Detroit, MI.\r\nShe worked as a nurse in Detroit and at Sacred Heart\r\nHospital in Eau Claire. After her nursing career she was\r\na telephone operator for Wisconsin Bell; then a sales clerk for many years at Samuelson's.\r\nElaine enjoyed cruises and traveling in the U.S.\r\nwith family, Europe with Elmer and special\r\noutings with her grandchildren. In 1997 she went to Norway with friends where she met\r\ncousins and saw the family homestead. She was active in her church, loved\r\nshopping, watching movies, cooking, baking and entertaining.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nSurvivors include her two daughters, Julie (Wayne) Hove of\r\nStanley and Patti (Mike) Gorell of Eau Claire; three granddaughters, Krista\r\nHove of Johnson Creek, Kelly (Jesse) McNamara of Eau Claire, and Alissa Hove of\r\nMilwaukee; sister, JoAnn (Art) Price of Waterloo, IA; niece and nephews, Rick\r\n(Sue) Price, Terri (Gary) Steinke, Wayne (Patty) Price, Gary (Doreen) Price and\r\nmany dear relatives.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer in 2004; her\r\nparents and an infant brother.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nElaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and soon to be\r\ngreat-grandmother. She will be dearly\r\nmissed by her family and friends.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February\r\n21, 2011 at First\r\n Lutheran Church,\r\n1005 Oxford Ave, Eau Claire with Pastor Kristin Swenson\r\nofficiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery\r\nin the Town of Washington.\r\nVisitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2011 at\r\nLenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814\r\n First Ave, Eau Claire\r\nand one hour prior to services Monday at the church.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nMemorials are preferred to Northwest WI Homecare, First\r\nLutheran Church Sunday School or American Cancer Society.\r\n\r\nA heartfelt thank you from our family to her\r\ncaregivers of hospice and Syverson Lutheran Home
