Elaine E. Wrigglesworth, 81, of Altoona, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at her residence. She was born on March 9, 1922 in Pepin County, the daughter of William and Minna (Thalacker) Behnke. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1939.\r\nElaine married Thomas C. Wrigglesworth on June 2, 1940 in Northfield, Iowa.\r\nShe worked 45 years as a clerical worker for Gateco Liquor Wholesaler until her retirement in 1994.\r\nElaine is survived by two sisters, Alice Smiskey and Gloria (Eilert) Berg both of Eau Claire; a brother, Bill (Shirley) of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Dawn Behnke of Eau Claire; brother-in-law, Robert (Betty) Wrigglesworth of Eau Claire; and many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her cat, "Crickett".\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, in 1986; her parents; a brother Wayne Behnke and a brother-in-law, Donald Smiskey. Her family and friends will miss her smile, generous heart, and quick wit and laughter they have shared through the years.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2003 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Father Edmund Klimek officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the Funeral Home.
