Elaine H. Yorkson, 79, of Eau Claire died Saturday, March 8, 2008, at her home. She was born in Eau Claire on September 3, 1928, a daughter of William and Mabel (Johnson) Ferm in Eau Claire.\r\nElaine worked as a Registered Nurse since 1951, having graduated from Madison General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked in Eau Claire until her retirement 1992.\r\nShe was a member of First Lutheran Church.\r\nSurvivors include her four sons; William (Pamela) of Anoka, MN, Christopher of Minneapolis, MN, Jaimie (Karen) of South St. Paul, MN, and Thomas of St. Paul, MN; and their father, Thomas Yorkson of Plymouth, MN; six grandchildren, Mallory, Kristen, Thomas, Heather, Sarah, and Katie Yorkson; her sister, Gertrude (William) Forster of Menomonie; a niece, Sue Herman; nephew, Mark Forster; three great-nieces, Lexie Herman, Laura and Katie Forster; and two great-nephews, Ben Herman and Chris Forster.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mable Ferm.\r\nPrivate family funeral services were held Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor John E. Kerr officiating. Burial was in Lutheran Church Cemetery in Eau Claire.\r\n
