Elissia Joyce Moschkau, born May 2, 1951, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Douglas Gene Moschkau; her parents, Edward and Elizabeth Eisberner; her sister Bonnie; her brother Tim; and her son-in-law, Chad Hunter.

She is survived by two brothers: Chris Eisberner (wife Tami) and Edward Eisberner (wife Janet).

Elissia’s life was a testament to devotion—her love for God, her family, and the simple pleasures of life shone brightly in all she did.

She leaves behind three cherished children: Andrea Lynn Hunter, Douglas James Moschkau (married to Gretchen), and Heather Joanne Moschkau. Elissia was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren—Jacob, Madeline, Sarah, Brooklyn, and William—each a treasure in her heart.

Elissia found joy in the beauty of nature, tending her garden, and watching it flourish. Her greatest treasures were her children, and she delighted in sharing laughter, playing games, and dancing the polka with family and friends. Her faith was unwavering, guiding her through life’s journey and inspiring those around her.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family is grateful for the time shared, the memories made, and the love that will endure. Elissia’s legacy lives on in the laughter, kindness, and faith she instilled in her loved ones.

Celebration of Life & Memorial Details

A celebration of Elissia’s life will be held on October 10, 2026, beginning at 9:30 a.m. with visitation at St. Olafs Parish (3220 Monroe St, Eau Claire, WI 54703). Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. After Mass, there will be a food gathering for family and friends; the location will be determined and shared at the service. A private placing of ashes for immediate family will take place at 2:45 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery.
