Obituary

Elizabeth M. "Betty" Coleman, 79, formerly of 4420 Woodridge Drive, Eau Claire, died Sunday, November 4, 2001, at Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation North in the town of Eagle Point. She was born on January 16, 1922 in Greeley, Nebraska to August and Elizabeth (White) Rosschaert.\r\nBetty married Arthur E. Coleman on March 23, 1943 in Omaha, Nebraska.\r\nShe was church secretary at Immaculate Conception Church for 25 years until her retirement.\r\nSurvivors include, her three children, Sue (Bernard) Chilson of Eau Claire, Dick (Vicki) Coleman of West Des Moines, IA and Mary (Rod) Thorson of Eau Claire; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Janet Anthone of Denver, CO, Joan Moran of Greeley, CO, and Sally Walsh of Omaha, NE; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art in 1977; her parents; and three sisters, Mildred Mills, Ruthanne O' Connor and Jeanne Weidner. \r\nMass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2001 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Eugene Klink officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church. There will be a 7:30 p.m. Public Prayer Service, Wednesday at the funeral home. \r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Regis High School, 2100 Fenwick Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54701.
