Obituary

Elliott I. Holm, 64, of Elk Mound died Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at his home. He was born in the Town of Wheaton on February 23, 1942, the son of Philip and Irene (Phinn) Holm. He graduated from Elk Mound High School with the class of 1962.\r\nElliott married Vivian M. Zillmer on October 18, 1969, in Eau Claire. \r\nHe served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in March 1970.\r\nElliott worked 22 years at Walter's Brewery, and then at Jennico until his retirement in 2000.\r\nElliott is survived by his wife, Vivian; three sons, Brian (Amanda) Holm of Chippewa Falls, Eric (Tara) Holm of Chippewa Falls, and Jamie Holm of Elk Mound; two daughters, Lori Holm of Marshfield and Lisa (Terry) Melgaard of Elk Mound; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Rachael, and Aaron Eberhart, Nathaniel, Jerica, and Waive Melgaard, and Carter, Chloe, and Corbin Holm; Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Beatrice Zillmer of Altoona; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Mike) Smith of Woodville and Karen (Greg) Loe of La Crosse; brother-in-law, Jerry Fellenz of Chippewa Falls; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Holm and Irene Holm Pedersen; and his sister, Leona Fellenz.\r\nElliott really loved the outdoors whether it was doing field work on the farm, cutting wood, repairing his tractors, or going for walks with his dog, Max.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elk Mound with Father Victor Inbaraj officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery where American Legion Post #53 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. A public prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
