Elliott R. Meyers, 46, of Eau Claire died unexpectedly at his home on September 30, 2008. He was born on October 23, 1961, in Waupun, Wisconsin to Dale and Carol (Finup) Meyers. Elliott graduated from Merrill High School in 1980, and Lakeland College, Sheboygan in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. He was last employed at Stanley Correctional Institution as a Crisis Intervention Worker. Elliott married Peggy A. Walber on January 10, 1987, in Appleton, Wisconsin. He enjoyed playing basketball, biking, cooking, and traveling with his family. Elliott was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Elliott is survived by his wife, Peggy; two daughters, Taylor and Carley, both of Middleton; his parents, Dale and Carol Meyers of Merrill; two sisters, Kym (Phillip) Walker of Quincy, IL, and June (Mark) Bebel of Beaver Dam; his aunt and godmother, Patricia (Clifford) Jaehnke of Reeseville; cousins, Tara (Tom) Portman of Eau Claire and Greg (Joanne) Jaehnke of Reeseville; and nieces Savannah, Serena, Cortney, and Casey. He was preceded in death by his sister, Toni Meyers; and his grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2008, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1310 Main Street, Eau Claire, with Pastor Gary F. Sahs officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
