ELMA A. BELDEN, 92, formerly of 408 Lake St., died Tuesday, May 19, 1998 at the M.B. Syverson Lutheran Home. She was born Sept. 17, 1905 to Edward and Clara (Robbins) Hart in the Town of Rock Creek, Dunn County, near Rock Falls, and she grew up there. Elma married John H. Belden in Winona, MN, on October 14, 1925. They lived in Rock Creek and Brunswick townships until their move to Eau Claire in 1942.\r\nSurvivors include two daughters, Arlene (John) Gerber and Diane (Charlie) Tietz, both of Eau Claire; three grandsons, John (Nan) Gerber of Rice Lake, Michael (Marsela) Gerber of Dallas, TX, and Jason (Christy) Tietz of Cedarburg; three granddaughters, Deborah (Jim) Anderson of Atascadero, CA, Shannon (Tim) Grossklaus of Wisconsin Rapids, and Sarah Tietz of Eau Claire; and twelve great-grandchildren. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1984; a son, John Jr.; fourbrothers and five sisters. \r\nElma was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ for over fiftyyears and actively volunteered there,\r\nFuneral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Derril Peabody officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and from 1 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the church.
