Obituary

Elmer J. Lokken, 85, of Pigeon Falls and formerly of Eau Claire died Monday, June 18, 2007, at Tri County Memorial Hospital in Whitehall. He was born on January 10, 1922, in Trempealeau County near Independence. \r\nElmer married Lillian E. Tienhaara in Eau Claire on October 3, 1959.\r\nElmer worked as a machine operator at factories in Kenosha, and in Eau Claire at Pope and Talbot, and then Shedd-Brown until his retirement.\r\nElmer is survived by his sister, Bernice Bryn of Eau Claire; and nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian in 1993; his parents; and a sister, Gladys Nicols.\r\nElmer enjoyed fishing throughout his life.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2007, at Chimney Rock Lutheran Church in the town of Chimney Rock with Pastor Ted Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, Eau Claire is serving his family.\r\nFamily requests memorials may be directed to Chimney Rock Lutheran Church, N43291 Church Road, Strum, WI 54770.\r\n
