ELSIE L. BUNTZ, 92, of 2837 ½ 5th St., Eau Claire died Wednesday, February 23, 2000 at Dove Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on November 27, 1907 in Wheaton Township, Chippewa County to Theodore and Anna (Kerner) Krueger. \r\nElsie married Ernest C. Buntz in Albertville on June 24, 1933. They farmed thirty years in the town of Wheaton, until Ernest's death in 1963. Elsie moved to Eau Claire in 1974. She was a member of First Lutheran Church where she was a member of Praise Circle. Elsie enjoyed gardening, handwork with crocheting and embroidery, and making cookies for her grandchildren. \r\nSurvivors include her son, Ronald (Judy) of Chippewa Falls; daughter, Rosanna (Ed) Thompson of Eau Claire; six grandchildren, Gwen (James) Johnson of Chetek, Duane (Tammy) Buntz of Eau Claire, Dawn (Randy) Bohl of Hallie, Mark (Shelly) Buntz, Marcia (Ronald) Lanners and Eric Buntz all of Chippewa Falls; ten great-grandchildren; brother, LaVerne (Lois) Krueger of Chippewa Falls; five sisters, Martha McCarthy of Eau Claire, Edna Solberg of Chippewa Falls, Mildred Fry of Vadnais Heights, MN, Lillian Solberg of Elk Mound and Phyllis Hintzman of Menomonie.\r\nElsie was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; a great-granddaughter, Marissa Kay Elsie Lanners; three brothers, Harold, Edwin, and Gustav Krueger; and a sister, Emma Krueger.\r\nFuneral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church with The Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
