Elvira E. Randall, 88, of Eau Claire died Saturday, March 23, 2002 at Luther Hospital. She was born on May 16, 1913 in Waumandee, Wisc. to Charlie and Alice (Blank) Schmidt. On April 30, 1938 Elvira married Ned L. Randall in Eau Claire where they made their home. After Ned's death in 1982, Elvira moved to Menomonie to be with her daughter.\r\nIn Menomonie, Elvira was active at the Senior Citizens Center where she enjoyed doing crafts. \r\nSurvivors include her daughter, Judy (Delbert) Block of Menomonie; three grandchildren, Julie (Jim) Holte of Savage, Minn, John Block of Bloomington, Minn and Jill Block of Menomonie; several nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edmund and Harvey Schmidt; and two sisters, Leona Malke and Edmee Jepson.\r\nMemorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Howard Fehr officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Friends may call an hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
