Elwood John Harrison, 77, of Elk Mound, died Thursday, September 25, 1997 at his home. He was born May 30, 1920 to John and Ruth (Hultman) Harrison in the Town of Wheaton. He was raised in the Town of Wheaton, graduating from Elk Mound High School with the class of 1938. Elwood married June Blakley in Rusk, WI on June 9, 1943. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.\r\nSurvivors include his wife June; a son, Lynn (Patricia) of Elk Mound; two daughters, Elva (Michael) Koepp of Eugene, OR, and Ruth (Paul) Howard of Lino Lakes, MN; two grandchildren, Laura and Ryan; a great-granddaughter Adrianna; two brothers, Wayne (Arlene) Harrison of Elk Mound and Herbert (Grace) Harrison of Menomonie; many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents.\r\nElwood enjoyed the outdoors as an avid hunter and fisherman.\r\nFuneral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Elk Mound with Pastor Brian Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Waneka Cemetery. Friends may call 4 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church. \r\nIn lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be directed to the donor's choice.
