Eric K. Stansbury, 50, of Eau Claire, died Saturday, December 9, 2017, at his home. Eric was born in Eau Claire on January 26, 1967, the son of David and Donna (Anderson) Stansbury. Eric graduated from North High School in Eau Claire. He then pursued and obtained his technical degree in Civil Engineering Technology. Eric worked as a Civil Engineer Designer and Drafter for a couple companies in the Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls area. He loved this type of work and would like discussing projects he had worked on. Eric loved the outdoors enjoying all kinds of activities from fishing, hunting and snow sports. In the summer he loved gardening type activities and enjoyed leisure time at his cabin in northern Wisconsin. Eric always had a positive outlook on life but recently had been fighting a series of health problems that eventually wore him out. Eric is survived by one brother, Todd Stansbury, of Stacy, MN; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Donna and David. Visitation will be from 2 to 5pm on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the WEST CHAPEL of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave. Eau Claire, and again one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, December 18, 2017, at Spirit Lutheran Church, 1310 Main St. Eau Claire, with Pastor Jim Alquist officiating.
