Erma R. Phephles, 94, of Eau Claire, died Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Heritage Court Memory Care in Eau Claire. Erma was born on March 6, 1924 in Hillsboro, the Wonewoc area, WI, a daughter of Wencle and Bertha (Novy) Rott. She married Clarence Phephles on May 19, 1945 in Hillsboro, WI. Erma was a former member of Loyal Order of Moose #1408. She was a stay at home mom and volunteered at the library at the McKinley Grade School in Eau Claire. Erma enjoyed gardening, polka and waltz dancing with her husband and children, card playing with her in-laws and loved watching her children and grandchildren's musical and sporting events. Erma is survived by her children, Craig (Cindy) Phephles of Omaha, NE, Kevin (Holly) Phephles of Eau Claire, and Loretta (D. J.) Goss of Cibolo, TX; daughter-in-law (wife of Leslie), Helen Phephles; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Elma (Lawrence) of Reedsburg, WI; brother, Waldo (Donna Faye) Rott of Glenwood City, WI; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; sons, Darrell, Gerald and Leslie Phephles; brothers, Cyrus and Sullivan Rott; and sisters, Lucy Novy and Geneva Keller. Funeral Services will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the WEST CHAPEL location of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire, with Rev. David Huber officiating. Visitation will be held from3 to 5 p.m. prior to the service Monday at the WEST CHAPEL. Burial will be held in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
