Ernest Lisker, 84, of Eau Claire died Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Dove Healthcare. He was born in Eau Claire on June 10, 1920, the son of Wenzel and Marie (Blaha) Lisker. Ernest grew up in the Town of Washington and graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1939.\r\nErnest met Irene Nelson at Fournier's Ball Room; they married on October 3, 1942, in Eleva.\r\nHe worked at the Drummond Packing Company, Consumer's Co-op delivering fuel, and retired from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Maintenance Department in 1985.\r\nErnest loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, metal detecting, gardening, and dancing. Ernest was proud of his Czechoslovakian heritage.\r\nSurvivors include his wife of 62 years, Irene; three daughters, Alice (Tom) Piercy of Eau Claire, Barbara (Charles) Stasek of Longmont, CO; Connie (Ron) Tuschl of Colfax; five grandchildren, John Piercy of Eau Claire, Jeff Piercy of Madison, Paul (Jennifer) Langer of Broomfield, CO, Christine (Tim) Farmer of Columbus, OH, and Chad Pucik of Winter Park, FL; and five great-grandchildren, Benjamin, William, and Samuel Langer and Nathalie and Michael Farmer.\r\nErnest was preceded in death by his parents.\r\nFuneral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Reverend Gordon D. Thorpe officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may call from noon until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.\r\n
