Esten J. Anderson, 84, of Route 2, Jeffers Road, died Saturday, August 10, 1996 at Luther Hospital. He was born June 3, 1912, in the Town of Spring Brook to Andrew and Ida (Holte) Anderson. Esten married Bernice O. Gunderson on June 26, 1943 in Eau Claire. They farmed in the Town of Springbrook until retiring to Eau Claire in 1978. He was an active member of First Lutheran Church, a member of its Keenagers and former secretary of the Springbrook Lutheran Cemetery Association. \r\nSurvivors include a sister, Gunda Froseth of Maplewood, MN; two sisters-in-law, Orlaine Salter of Eau Claire and Ruth Gunderson of White Creek, TN; several nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice in 1994, \r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 A.M. Thursday at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert E. Esse officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 7 P.M. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
