Esther C. Erdman, age 89, of Eau Claire, WI, died, Sunday, July 5, 2015 at The Mayo Clinic Health System- Eau Claire, WI. Esther was born June 27, 1926, in New Auburn, WI, to Otto and Bertha (Ause) Engebretson. She worked for Luther Hospital in the Pharmacy department, delivering medicines to the appointed floors. This is where she met Allen Erdman (who worked in Payroll) and through some coersing from friends, married Allen on December 16, 1961 at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. In 1977 they moved from Eau Claire to Menomonie and resided there for twenty-five years. Esther was very involved in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Dorcas Sewing Group. Esther loved to sew and mend. She and Allen also helped start the Oak Ridge Lutheran Brethren Church in Menomonie, where she also helped with the custodial work. Esther is survived by her husband of 53 ½ years, Allen of Eau Claire; one daughter, Barbara Erdman of Eau Claire; one son, Philip (Connie) Erdman of Morgan Hill, CA; one granddaughter, Stefanie (John) Lafaver of Turlock, CA; other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Bertha (Ause) Engebretson; one brother and one sister.
