Obituary

Ethel G. Weasler, 83, of Altoona died Sunday, January 1, 2006, at Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire. She was born in Eau Claire on February 10, 1922, the daughter of Fred and Elsie (Staples) Gullikson. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1939.\r\nEthel married Theodore Joseph Weasler on January 20, 1953, in Mpls., Minnesota.\r\nEthel served in the U.S. Navy WAVES in Corpus Christi, TX, during World War II until her honorable discharge on October 22, 1945.\r\nShe worked at Uniroyal Tire Co. as a tire builder until raising her family.\r\nEthel is survived by her son, Randy (Amber) Weasler of Altoona, with whom she made her home before moving to Clairemont Nursing Home; two daughters, Dawn Weasler of San Francisco, CA, and Linda (Wayne) Bahr of Fort Atkinson; four grandchildren, Trevor and Charissa Bahr, Arielynn Johnson and Amanda Loga; two great grandchildren, Arianna and Noah Johnson.; two sisters, Merle (Harold) Gardow of Eau Claire and Betty (Ralph) Douville of Chippewa Falls; Gary Gullikson of Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theodore in 1976; three sisters, Fern, Bertha and May; and four brothers, Carl, Andy, Gus and Godfred.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2006, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with Pastor John E. Hosmann officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
