Eugene "Gene" David Flick, Sr., age 76, of Jim Falls, WI, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021, at his home. Gene was born October 23, 1944, in Black River Falls, WI, to the late Harold and Louise (Olson) Flick. After high school, he joined the US Navy, serving in the Vietnam War as a flight medic before his honorable discharge. Gene worked on the Soo Line railroad, as an auto-mechanic, and as a farm hand. He married Nancy Gregory in Augusta, WI. Gene liked tinkering with cars and loved mowing his lawn. Survivors include his children, Eugene (Debora) Flick, Jr., of Chippewa Falls, WI, and Ellie (Scott) Edington of Three Lakes, WI; step-children, Jeff (Sue) Hughes of Chippewa Falls, Tom Hughes of Fall Creek, David Hughes, Jr. of Chippewa Falls, Lori Hughes of Jim Falls, Melissa LeeAnn (Ruark) Neuenfeldt of Fall Creek; grandchildren, Courtney Flick, Austin (Shawna) Flick, Adam (Bri) Edington, Gabriel (Bryce) Edington, Seth Edington, Amy (Dan) McGuire, Mike (Sandy) Hughes, Jake (Jessica) Sweeney, Aleah Hughes, Zach Hughes, Steven Hughes, Jamie (Tammy) Hughes, David (Amy) Hughes, IV, Elisa (Matt) Steinmetz, Tessa Roen, David (Rachael) Roen, Cheyenne Lee (Fatos) Seeley, Crystal Lee Kendall, Alyssa Lee Kendall; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Gene is further survived by his siblings, Ronald (Linda) Flick of Fairchild, Douglas Flick of Black River Falls, and Shirley Bertrang of Fairchild; half siblings, Lori Flick Gregori, Gaylord, Adam, Dan, Clifton and Beryle Skaar. Gene is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; parents; children, Lisa Wines, Wade Allen and Ellie May; brothers, Harold "Sonny" Flick, Arlen Flick and Richard "Richie" Flick; half-brother, Bill Skaar. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 16, 2021, at New Hope Assembly of God, 318 S 7th St, Cornell, WI, followed by Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post 353.
