Eugene L. Paape, 91, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. \r\nHe was born in Eau Claire on August 14, 1918, a son of John&Lena Paape.\r\nEugene served in the U.S. Navy in the Sea Bees during World War II in the South Pacific.\r\nHe married Lorraine E. Arneson August 17, 1940 in Eau Claire. \r\nEugene worked at Sterling Pulp and Paper for 40 years.\r\nEugene is survived by his wife, Lorraine; a daughter, Sylvia Emerson; a son, John (Mary Jo); four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Private Graveside services will be held. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
