Eva Lane, 95 of Eau Claire died Sunday, December 10, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Eva was born on August 6, 1922, in Alma Center, WI, to Hattie and Ole Olson. She married Ernest (Ernie) on February 16, 1946. She was a wonderful, thoughtful, helpful person and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Eva was a lifelong member of Lutheran Church of St. Matthew, Eau Claire. She worked in the Eau Claire school lunch program for many years. Eva is survived by her two sons, Rich (Nancy) Lane and Don (Susan) Lane; two daughters, Betty (Robert) Jacobs and Becky (John) Englund; grandchildren, Brenda (Jeff) Ross, Rick (Angie) Lane, Kandi (Ray) Pickard, Kevin (Colleen) Lane, Michelle Ottinger, John (Jillian) Englund, Matthew (Tammy) Englund, and Andrew (Kymberly) Englund; great-grandchildren, Jordan & Bailee Ross, Hannah & Gavin Lane, Carter, Payton, Preston & Mason Pickard, Moira, Eva & Kevin Lane, John, Juliet & Graham Englund. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie; son, Jimmie; daughter, Connie; brothers, Lloyd, Sherb, Maynard & Mike and sister, Caroline. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Sacred Heart Hospital CCU and surgical floor as well as the staff at Dove Healthcare West and St. Joseph's Hospice for the tender loving care given. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am with visitation one-hour prior to the service on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Lutheran Church of St. Matthew, 1915 Hodgeboom Ave., Eau Claire with Pastor Steven Rutter officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Eva's name to Lutheran Church of St. Matthew, Eau Claire, WI.
