Evelyn A. "Dolly" Brandon, 90, of 2120 Heights Dr., Eau Claire died Friday, October 17, 2003 at Clairemont Nursing Home. She was born on July 5, 1913 in the Chippewa River Bottoms, in the Town of Spring Brook, the daughter of Julius and Flora (Weltzin) Soppeland. She worked in housekeeping at a hospital prior to her retirement.\r\nShe is survived by her son, James N. Brandon of Barstow, CA; brother, Frank Soppeland of Eau Claire; two sisters, Olive MacLaughlin of Oxnard, CA and Florence Matas of Desert Hot Springs, CA; several nieces and nephews.\r\nEvelyn was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and one sister.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor David J. Irgens officiating. Burial will be in Spring Brook Cemetery in the Town of Spring Brook.
