Evelyn E. Homstad, 80, of 1229 East Lexington Blvd. died Friday, February, 2, 1996 at her home.\r\nEvelyn was born May 23, 1915 in Robinson, North Dakota to Martin and Anna (Monson) Ekblad. She married Leigh N. Homstad in Willmar, Minnesota on June 7, 1941. She was a graduate of Hamline University with a BA degree in History. She received her Masters in Psychology from St. Cloud State University, where she taught English Composition from 1954 until 1963. She began teaching at UWEC in 1963, retiring as Assistant Professor in 1983.\r\nShe was a member of Christ Church Cathedral.\r\nEvelyn is survived by two sons, Leigh Jr. (Sara) Homstad of St. Paul,MN and Mark Homstad of Oak Park,IL; a daughter, Anne (William P.) Wingate of Lloyd Harbor,NY; a granddaughter, Annika Homstad of St. Paul,MN; a grandson, William J. Wingate of Los Angeles,CA.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Leigh in 1983 and her parents.\r\nFamily Graveside services will be Wednesday at North Coon Prairie Church Cemetery, rural Cashton, with Pastor John Stennes-Spidahl officiating.\r\nA Memorial Service will be scheduled for later this spring in Eau Claire.\r\nThe family requests that memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or the UWEC Foundation.\r\nLenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home is serving the Family
