Evelyn C. Olson, 93, of 1412 Whipple St. Apt. 207, Eau Claire died Monday, October 6, 2003 at her residence. She was born on June 3, 1910 in Eau Claire, the daughter of Arndt and Mary (Knutson) Olson. Evelyn married Alfred B. Olson in Louisville, KY on December 24, 1929.\r\nShe was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was also a member of Grace Lutheran's Martha Circle, the sewing club, the Samaritan Club at Luther Hospital, visiting committee and bingo helper at M.B. Syverson Home, World Service Friendship Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.\r\nShe is survived by three daughters; Annabelle (Clifford) Doege, Shirley Hermann, and Sharron Asmussen, all of Eau Claire; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and expecting a fourth in February; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nEvelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred in 1946; her parents; a daughter, Mary Huber and her husband Don; and a son, Richard C. Olson and his wife Donna; two granddaughters and a grandson; three sisters and seven brothers.\r\nFuneral services will be 11 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2003 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor David J. Irgens officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family.\r\nHer family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to Grace Lutheran Church, or the charity of your choice.
