EVELYN C. SOLBERG, 92, died Wednesday, November 10, 1999 at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home. She was born on July 12, 1907 in the township of Cleveland, Jackson County, near Fairchild, to James and Hannah (Falk) Solberg. Evelyn moved to Eau Claire with her family when she was 6 years old. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1926.\r\nShe was employed as a secretary at the Drummond Packing Company for over 20 years and the Agricultural Stabilization Commission for 14 years, retiring in 1972.\r\nEvelyn was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church where she has been a member for 92 years; she was active in the women's groups at Immanuelfor many years.\r\nSurvivors include two sisters, Alice Lundquist of Eau Claire and Charlotte (Irvin) Wadsworth of Madison; a nephew and three nieces.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor David K. Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call an hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.\r\nThe family request memorials be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church. .
