Florence V. Bailey, 97, of Altoona, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2009, at Oak Gardens Assisted Living in Altoona. \r\nShe was born May 13, 1912, in Tilden, WI, the daughter of Anton and Theresa (Boos) Geissler. She married Clyde K. Bailey on September 21, 1933, in Crown Point, Indiana. \r\nFlorence was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed her family, dancing when she was younger, and quilting. \r\nSurvivors include her daughters, Patricia Bailey of Fairchild, and Linda (Harold) Frank of Eau Claire; son-in-law, Richard Johnson of Bloomer; daughter-in-law, Ann Bailey of Kenosha, WI; six generations of grandchildren; a sister, Irene Anderson of Bloomer; and many beloved nieces and nephews.\r\nFlorence was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde; a son, Kenneth Bailey; daughter, Delores Johnson; six brothers; and a sister.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2009, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Monsignor Edmund Klimek officiating. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery, Lake Hallie.\r\nThe family would like to thank the caring staff of Oak Gardens and Northwest Homecare Hospice for the loving care shown to Florence.
