Obituary

Floyce M. Missman, 67, of 2222 Fenner St., Eau Claire died Thursday, October 29, 1998 at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 6, 1931 in Spooner to George and Marion (Tillotson) Walsingham. She graduated with honors from Chippewa Falls High School in 1946.She married Jay A. Missman in Eau Claire on August 18, 1973, and recently celebrated twenty-five years of marriage.\r\nFloyce enjoyed several careers - teaching accordion and piano lessons, selling classified and retail advertising for the Leader-Telegram, and working for Johnson and Higgins in Phoenix, AZ, as a bookkeeper until retirement. She was a very talented musician and artist, who enjoyed sharing her blessings with others. \r\n She was a member of Evangel Assembly of God in Eau Claire. Survivors include her husband, Jay; her daughter, Kathryn (Gerald) Meyer of Eau Claire; three grandchildren, Carrie Thomas, Michael Thomas, and Zachary Craig; and two great-grandchildren, Alex and Erica. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, and her two sons, Michael and James. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home, with Pastor Steven L. Brandt officiating. Burial will be in LakeviewCemetery. Friends may call 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and an hour before the service on Monday. .
