Obituary

FLOYD E. BROWN, 83, of 2004 Crestview Dr., died unexpectedly Saturday, April 22, 2000 at Luther Hospital. He was born in Eau Claire on February 19, 1917 to Edward and Lena (Johnson) Brown. He graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1935. Floyd married Mary Thompson on September 28, 1942 in Chippewa Falls. In 1942 he entered the U.S. Army during World War II, he received his honorable discharge in 1946. He was employed 38 years at Uniroyal, working in the curing department until his retirement in 1974. \r\nFloyd thoroughly enjoyed his family and home, and loved watching his grandsons sporting events. He was an avid hunter and fisherman during his good health.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Mary; two daughters, Barbara (Frank) Hagman and Rebecca (Tom) Hotujec; four grandchildren, Gregory (Jody) Hagman, Andrew Hagman, Bryan and Megan Hotujec; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Brown all of Eau Claire; and several nieces and nephews. \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harry; and an infant sister.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery in the town of Washington where VWF Post #305 will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.\r\n
