Frances B. Reed, 98, of Eau Claire, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Dove Healthcare West, with family by her side. Frances was born February 12, 1916, to Carl and Emma (Klopp) Garnett in Eau Claire. Frances married Kenneth L. Reed on May 8, 1937, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Frances had been a salesperson at Sears and at Wards. She was a long-time avid North High School basketball fan and long-time member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Frances is survived by a son, Kenneth Jr. (Patricia) of Eau Claire; a daughter, Nancy Benson of Tucson, AZ; brother, Roger (June) of Eau Claire; sister, Beverly Boettcher of Eau Claire; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 1989; parents; two brothers, William and Jack; two sisters, Elaine Wickland and Winifred Winrich; grandson, Daniel Thiesenhusen; granddaughter, Susan Reed; and a great-granddaughter, Taylor Reed. Funeral services will be at Noon, on Friday, January 2, 2015, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire, with Pastor James Page officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery in the Town of Washington.
