FRED A. "TINY" ANDERSON SR., 76, of 1704 Omaha St., died Wednesday, July 29, 1998 at his home. He was born on June 6, 1922 in Eau Claire to Fred and Anna (Trepanier) Anderson. He graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the Class of 1940. Fred married Charlotte J. Hartson in Eau Claire on November 30, 1946.\r\nHe served with the 5th U.S. Army Division in the European Theater during WW II until his honorable discharge in 1946. Fred was a tire inspector at Uniroyal for over 30 years until his retirement in 1978.\r\nHe was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and VFW Post #305.\r\nSurvivors include a son, Fred Jr. (Renae Oswald-Anderson) of Stillwater, MN; a daughter, Vicki (Gene) Hemner of Everett, WA; and two granddaughters, Leigha and Karah Anderson both of Stillwater, MN. \r\nFred was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte; his parents; and a sister, Ione Zowinski.\r\nFred loved nature and wildlife and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Both he and Charlotte loved motorcycles and took numerous cross country motorcycle trips on their Harley.\r\nMemorial Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Joseph A. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery where American Legion Post # 53 will conduct military graveside rites.Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
