Fred C. Bell, 59, of Eau Claire died Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at Luther Hospital. He was born in Ornoco, Minnesota on June 25, 1943, the son of Oscar and Emily (Kettner) Bell.\r\nHe served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1963.\r\nFred married Nancy L. Larson in Dalton, Georgia on November 5, 1966.\r\nHe worked in commercial construction as an ironworker until his retirement in July 2000. Fred was a member of Ironworkers Local #512 in St. Paul, MN.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Nancy; son, Matthew (Dawn) of Sanford, FL; daughter, Michelle (Rodney) Sprinkle of Augusta; two grandchildren, Devin and Damien Sprinkle; his mother, Emily of Ornoco, MN; brother, Daniel (Dawn) of Rochester, MN; two sisters, Jacky (Robert) Rueber of Ornoco, MN and Mary (Loren) Jech of Chatfield, MN; mother-in-law Cora Larson of Eau Claire; sister-in-law, Mary Larson of Eau Claire and many nieces and nephews\r\nHe was preceded in death by his father, Oscar.\r\nFred was a loving husband, wonderful father and a great friend to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.\r\nMemorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor David K. Anderson officiating. A private burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the town of Washington. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
