Fred E. Garnett, 79, of the town of Brunswick, died Monday, January 10, 2005, at home. He was born on August 26, 1925, the son of Fred and Lucy (Steffen) Garnett, in the town of Brunswick. Fred, along with his brother, Kenny, farmed the home farm in the Town of Brunswick until his retirement. Freddie loved to farm and work in his garden. All who knew him loved him.\r\nFreddie is survived by two sisters, Joyce of Mondovi, and Pearl of Eau Claire; one sister-in-law, Pearline Garnett, and many loving nieces and nephews. He is also survived by special friends Gladys and Lorraine Vogler of Eau Claire, and Dick and Joann Kummet of Chippewa Falls.\r\nFred was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Vernon, Kenny, and Paul "Bud"; a sister, Alma Barnhardt; brother-in-law, Glen Barnhardt; and a sister-in-law, Pat Garnett.\r\nFuneral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2005, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating. Burial will be in Brunswick Cemetery in the town of Brunswick. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.\r\n
