Obituary

Fred J. Marick, age 98, of Eau Claire, WI, died peacefully Monday, November 24, 2025 at Care Partners Assisted Living in Eau Claire.

Fred was born November 22, 1927 in Eau Claire, WI to Phillip and Rose (Ramharter) Marick. He was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School Class of 1945. Fred proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed as a dental lab technician at Chmel Dental Lab for 39 years, before retiring. On November 22, 1974, he married the love of his life, Marjorie Phillips, she died on May 19, 2013. Fred was a member of the Knights of Columbus JFK Council #1257.

Fred was proud to be called a snowbird. He spent many winters with Marjorie in Arizona. He enjoyed being social and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Fred is survived by his brother Gerald (Barbara) Marick of Bloomington, MN and is further survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. He was a blessing to all!

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marjorie and siblings: Lucille (Leo) Kramer, Dorothy (Kenneth) Germain, George (Elizabeth) Marick, and Robert (Mary) Marick.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Eau Claire, WI. Visitation will be held at the Church on Monday from 10 – 11:00 a.m. Following a funeral luncheon Entombment will be in the Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Fred's name at a later date.
