Obituary

FRED L. MILLER, 50, of 136 Platt St., died Wednesday, August 30, 2000 at his home. He was born (the first of eight children) on June 11, 1950 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Robert and Mary (Castro) Miller. Fred grew up in Germany and Bowling Green, Kentucky, where he earned an under-graduate degree from Western Kentucky University. In 1981, he received his Masters Degree in Food Science from UW Stout.\r\nHe enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on August 1, 1973 and was honorably discharged as a Captain on Feb. 14, 1978.\r\nSurvivors include his wife Adelaide "Bunny"; son, Christopher of St. Paul, MN; two daughters, Rebecca and Belinda Miller, both of Eau Claire; parents, Robert and Mary of Ladysmith; four brothers, Steve (Donna), Paul, and Mike, all of Ladysmith, and Peter; three sisters, Marie Brantley of Milwaukee, Margaret (Albert) Jennerman of Ladysmith, and Susie (Glenn) Felske of Eau Claire; half brother, Robert (Linda) Miller Jr. of Marshfield; two half sisters, Linda (Richard) Robles and Renata Stusek both of Hortonville; many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by a half brother, Ronald Miller.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call an hour before services at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family.
