Frederick "Fritz" C. Scott, 92, formerly of 429 E. Lexington Blvd., died Sunday, September 30, 2001 at Syverson Lutheran Home. He was born in Mondovi, Wisconsin on April 17, 1909 to Harry and Amanda (Hegg) Scott.\r\n He was a graduated from Mondovi High School and attended Eau Claire State Teachers College, graduating in 1931. He was active in college sports at Eau Claire where he was captain of the basketball team in 1929. Prior to entering college Frederick had a dance band know as "Fritz Scott and his Arcadians" Frederick married Florence Hanson in Stillwater, MN in 1931.\r\nHe was a high school History Teacher at Eagle River and Wauwatosa WI, for several years, and served as education advisor for the Civilian Conservation Corps. Frederick was District Manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., and was a past president of Life Underwriters in Eau Claire. In 1952 they moved to Worthington, MN, where he was District Manger for Investor Diversified Services. Following his retirement in 1972 they returned to Eau Claire.\r\nFrederick was a member of Eau Claire Lodge #112 F&AM., was a charter member of Lions Club in Eau Claire, and a past president of the Worthington Lions Club. \r\nSurvivors include, two daughters, Jacqueline (Douglas) Campbell of Richland, WA, and Sally (Charles) Erickson of Lenexa, KS; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Jane Ayars of San Marcos, CA, and sister-in-law, Mary L. Lund of Eau Claire.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Florence in 1986; sister, Mary Magdaline Scott; and four brothers, Harry, James, Arnold and Howard.\r\nMemorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel with Pastor Lowell Bolstad officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral is serving the family.
