GAIL M. HANSHUS, 82, formerly of 1025 Summit St., died Wednesday, May 3, 2000 at Dove Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on August 31, 1917 to Myron and Annette (Rand) Gore in Chippewa Falls. Gail grew up in Des Moines, Iowa where she graduated from Roosevelt High School with the class of 1935. She went on to attend Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. \r\n On April 19, 1941, Gail married Jerome O. Hanshus at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis and they made their home in Eau Claire.\r\nShe was a bookkeeper at Firstar Bank, for Dr. Robert Lee and at Lasker Jewelers retiring in 1980.\r\nGail is survived by a daughter, Judy Partlow of Eau Claire; son, Jon (Peggy) Hanshus of North Quincy, MA; grandson, Scot Partlow ( Dean Kralios) of Seattle, WA; two granddaughters, Melissa (Michael) Richard of Eau Claire and Tammy (James) Fulce of Rotunda, Fl; two great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Irene Onarheim of Mpls, MN and Ethel Vance of Eau Claire; cousins, nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerome in 1980; her brother, Glen Gore; son-in-law, Richard Partlow; and a grandson, Jon Hanshus.\r\nFuneral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to First Lutheran Church, Luther Hospital or the donor's choice.
