Gary Alan Maser, age 71, of Eau Claire, passed away on August 23, 2017. Gary was born on June 15, 1946, in St. Paul, MN, to the late Al W. and Ruby (Kraft) Maser. Gary graduated from Memorial High School, Eau Claire. He then attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, where he was a four year member of the Concordia College Choir under the direction of Paul J. Christianson. He also attended Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, IA. Gary served parishes in Gothenberg, NE, and Pepin, WI, before returning to Eau Claire to work at First Wisconsin Bank. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Rob; grandson, Robert; cousins, Kristen (Patrick) Carey and John Burmeister. Memorials preferred to the National Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st St, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131, or to the donor's choice. The family would like to thank the staff of the Neurology Clinic of the University of Minnesota, Mayo Health Systems – Eau Claire, Mayo Clinic Hospice, and Syverson Lutheran Home for their compassion and care of Gary. A visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 1st Ave, Eau Claire. A private family burial will take place.
