Gayle A. Bilderback (Mueller), age 81, of Eau Claire, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, surrounded by family. She was under the care of Mayo Clinic Health System - Home Health and Hospice. Gayle was born in Eau Claire on April 28, 1936, to Walter and Audrey (Brekke) Mueller. Gayle attended Eau Claire High School, graduating with the Class of 1954. She married Allan E. Bilderback on December 12, 1953. Gayle was a long-time member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She enjoyed camping with family, playing cards with friends, crocheting, and time with her grandchildren. Gayle is survived by her children, Rhonda (John) Monson, Richelle (Eric) Theis, Roxann (Daniel) Calkins, Randy (Jackie) Bilderback, and Robert Bilderback; grandchildren, Lisa Faust, Dustin (Becky) Monson, Dustin (Jessica) Goodenough, Becca (Drew) Penzkover, Daniel (Emilee) Calkins, James Calkins, Shyanne Harrison; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Harold (Yvonne) Mueller, John (Patti) Mueller, Charles (Linda) Mueller, Karen (Dennis) Haines; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Allan; and siblings, Donna Reynen and Joan LeBarron. Burial will take place in Prairie View Cemetery, Village of Lake Hallie.
