GENEVA HENRIETTA SABIN, 79, of 231 East Main St., Fairchild, died Friday, March 5, 1999 at her home. She was born December 17, 1919 in Prairie Farm,WI, to George and Henrietta (Buxton) Wait. Geneva married Dean Sabin on November 3, 1935, in St. Paul, MN.\r\nThey farmed in Barron County in Vance Creek Township. Following Dean's death on June 30, 1955, she lived in several communities prior to moving to Wabasha, MN, in 1979. She moved to Fairchild to be near her children in 1998. \r\nShe was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Burkhardt-Roemer VFW Post #4086 in Wabasha,MN.\r\nShe is survived by her children, Nelson (Diana) of Okmulgee, OK; Betty (Arvid) Bulman of Prescott Valley,AZ; Helen (August) Boehm of Clam Lake; Robert of Craig, AL; Nora (Harley) Schaefer of Amery; Dorothy Bignell of Elmwood; Richard (Shirley) of Prescott Valley,AZ; Dean (Jill) of Fairchild; Raymond (Harriette) of Elkhorn; twenty nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; four brothers, Walter (Mattie) Wait of Chetek, Harley (Velma) Boyer of Indianapolis,IN; Darrell (Jean) Boyer of Eau Claire and Larry (Barb) Boyer of Wisconsin Rapids; and a sister, Darlene (Cecil) Ankney of Eau Claire.\r\nGeneva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dean; a daughter, Shirley Vance; two grandsons, Gale Bignell and Donald Vance; a great - grandson, Danny Pischke; and a sister, Ardith Miller. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Father Edmund Klimek officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and an hour prior to services on Wednesday.
