Genevieve F. Wass, 83, of Augusta, died on Sunday, August 17, 2014, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born on September 21, 1930, in Chicago, IL, to Francis and Marie (Klajda) Niewiadomski. Genevieve married Leroy Wass on September 28, 1957, in Chicago. They lived in the Chicago area until retiring to Augusta, WI, in 1985. Genevieve is survived by her husband of 56 years, Roy; son, Mark Wass of Augusta; daughters, Connie (James) Muryn of Bensenville, IL, and Melanie Gregory of Phoenix, AZ; 6 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Bernadine. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at the WEST CHAPEL of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 415 N. Maple, St. Cadott, WI, with Fr. William Felix officiating. Visitation will also begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday morning at church. Interment will be at Holy Guardian Angels Cemetery in Brackett.
