GEORGE H. HOFF, 77, of Eau Claire died Friday, January 7, 2000 at Syverson Lutheran Home. He was born on October 31, 1922 in Eau Claire to Olaf and Grace (Lee) Hoff. He graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the Class of 1941. George married Arvella Albrecht on May 31, 1954 in Fall Creek.\r\nHe worked at Hoff Produce Co., was a reserve officer for the Eau Claire Sheriffs Dept., was employed at Peters Meats and 20 years in maintenance with the Chippewa Valley Technical College until retiring in 1987.\r\nHe was a past president of the Eau Claire Flying Eagles Ski Club and served as a trustee on its Board for many years.\r\nSurvivors include a son, Jeff of Waukesha; daughter, Sandy (Stephen) Walter of Eau Claire; three grandchildren, Lindsay and David Walter of Eau Claire, and Megan Hoff of Waukesha.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Richard and Lee; and a sister, Beatrice Hoff.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Boe of Syverson Lutheran Home officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.\r\nIn lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to the Flying Eagles Ski Club in Eau Claire.
