Obituary

George Allan King, 82, of Eleva was born in Eau Claire on November 15, 1919 to Clinton and Josephine (Mikesell) King. He went to be with his Lord on November 25, 2001, in Eau Claire. \r\nGeorge married Marlyn L. Luren on October 27, 1945 in Eau Claire.\r\nHe served in the National Guard from 1934 to 1941 and during World War II in the 503rd Parachute Infantry from 1941 to 1945. He received the American Defense Service Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon with 3 Battle Stars, 5 Overseas Service Bars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Battle Star, and a Good Conduct Ribbon.\r\nGeorge was a general contractor building homes operating as 3 Sons and 1 until his retirement.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Marlyn; daughter, Cynthia (Ryan) Sheehy of Arcadia; three sons, Terry of WA, George (Carol) of Augusta, and Jerry (Theresa) of Paramount, CA; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren;\r\nHe was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Roessler, four brothers and two sisters.\r\nGeorge loved his God, his family and his country.\r\nA memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 200l at Chippewa Valley General Assembly, 914 Fay St., Eau Claire with Pastor William Kermott officiating. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
