\r\nGEORGE "Pat" Patterson, 83, formerly of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 in Sun City, Arizona. He was born on April 9, 1928 in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts to Gordon and Florence Patterson.\r\nPat went into the army after graduating from Newton High School in 1946. He then went on to play baseball for the Eau Claire Bears Northern League in 1949. On December 20, 1950 he married Marylou Baker in Eau Claire. He worked for Coca Cola, the United States Postal Service, Hillcrest Golf Course, and spent the last twenty years of his working career as a salesman for the Pope and Talbot Paper Company. In 1991, he and Marylou moved to Sun City, Arizona. Pat loved to play golf and watch sports of all kinds. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.\r\nSurvivors include his daughter, Lynne (Frank) Maslowski of Eau Claire; two granddaughters, Megan (Jeff) Middleton of Alexandria, Virginia and Lindsay Maslowski of Thiensville, Wisconsin, two great-grandsons, William and Henry Middleton, and two nephews and one niece. He is also survived by his partner for the last twelve years, Donna Maycock.\r\nPat was preceded in death by his wife, Marylou, his brother Don, and his parents.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire with Rev. Richard Estrem-Fuller officiating. Visitation will start at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
