George Charles Vobornik, 75, 3667 Hallie Lane, passed away Thursday, November 13, 1997, at Luther Hospital. He was born March 12, 1922 to Frank Sr. and Mary (Grund) Vobornik in the Town of Bear Lake, Rusk County,Wisconsin.\r\nGeorge married Morine Charlotte Huse, November 21,1943 in Chetek. They farmed for ten years in Rusk County before moving to Eau Claire in 1953. George was employed as a deliveryman at Walter's Brewery until his retirement in 1967.\r\nHe was a member of the Moose Lodge #1408.\r\nSurvivors include his wife Morine; three sons, George Jr., James (Karen), and Larry (Diane), all of Eau Claire; five grandchildren, Angelena Marie, Benjamin (Jennifer), Ryan, Laura, and Emily; a great-granddaughter Nicole; a brother, Joe (Vicki) of Weyerhauser; many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Louis and Frank. \r\nFuneral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Peace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Mark W. Schulz officiating. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery in the Town of Hallie. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
