IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gerald Edwin
Anaas
April 30, 1935 – September 17, 2025
Gerald "Jerry" Anaas Jerry Anaas, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17 at Dove Healthcare West under the care of St. Croix Hospice. Jerry was born April 30, 1935 in a snowstorm to Melvin and Mabel (Paulson) Anaas in Whitehall, WI. While attending high school he met his forever sweetheart, Alva Fromm. They were married January 8, 1956. To this union 6 children were born. Jerry & Alva started their married life on a farm in Coral City. During that time Jerry operated a milk route and other ag related businesses. In 1967, they moved their family to Mondovi where Jerry managed Hilltop Tractor Farm. Later in life he moved onto sales where he was an accomplished sales person. Following retirement, Jerry worked at Menards until he was 82. Jerry will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his tenor voice, and his love of music. He enjoyed finding a good treasure at garage sales - mostly toy cars, trucks and tractors. One of his most special moments later in life were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with the greatest being teaching them to play the devil stick and the kazoo. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Alva. His children: Randy (Mary Kay) Anaas; Greg Anaas; Linda Sage; Heidi (Doug) Cattanach; Diane (Jim "Tiger") Schultz; and Dawn (Steve) Bloom; his grandchildren: Dustin (Kelley), Andy (Martine), Nikki (Matt), Danielle (Randy), Alex, Cody, Rebecca (Doug), Tim, Andy (Valerie), Amber (Kou), and Taylor (Jason). Great Grandchildren Elsie, Gunnar, Layla, Alayna, Will, Micah, Nathan, Anika, Miles, Korraline and Riley. Sister-in-law Charlene (Randy) Maurer) and nieces, nephews and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughters-in-law Sue & Peggy, and sister-in-law Elaine (Arlyn) Knutson. Jerry's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the St. Croix Hospice and Dove Healthcare West staff. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Food Pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church, Eau Claire. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1314 E. Lexington Blvd, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, with Pastor Tom Wescott officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Pigeon Creek Lutheran Cemetery in Pigeon Falls following lunch at the church.
