Gerald C. Flaskrud, 67, of Eau Claire died Friday, January 21, 2005, at Luther Hospital. He was born in Eau Claire on December 20, 1937, the son of Selmer and Agnes (Gunderson) Flaskrud.\r\nGerald married Nancy Ann Brown on September 1, 1956, and later married Peggy Weichert in on July 19, 1985.\r\nHe worked for 30 years at Gould National Battery, as a maintenance man at various apartment complexes, and drove bus for special children and the elderly.\r\nGerald enjoyed spending summers at Wildwood Resort in Chetek. He also liked weekend camping, pontooning, boating, fishing, and gambling with friends and family. Gerald especially liked teaching children to fish.\r\nGerald is survived by his wife, Peggy; four children, Linda (Bob) Schaefer of Eau Claire, Lavonne (John) Robbins of Sterling, VA, Lisa Anderson of Fall Creek, Larry (Aly) Flaskrud of New Holstein, and their mother, Nancy Ann Flaskrud of Eau Claire; three stepchildren sons, Philip (Kelly) Lipke of Cadott, Jimmy (Gabby) of Fargo, ND, and Scott Lipke of Black River Falls; four grandchildren; six step grandchildren; three sisters, Ollie Dunnum of Altoona, Avis Blake of Rochester, MN, and Sandra Smith of Altoona; one brother, Dennis (Sonjia) Flaskrud of Chippewa Falls; one sister-in-law, Shirley Flaskrud of Altoona; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Terry and Jan Gray of Eau Claire.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; one brother George; three brothers-in-law, Lester Dunnum, Robert Blake, and David Smith.\r\nFuneral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2005, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Father John A. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to services Wednesday, both at the funeral home.\r\n
