Obituary

Gerald "Jerry" E. Hrubesch, 69, of Eau Claire died Wednesday, September 7, 2005, at Luther Hospital. He was born in Eau Claire on November 12, 1935, the son of Herman and Evelyn (Peterson) Hrubesch.\r\nJerry served in the U.S. Army in Wiesbaden, Germany until his honorable discharge in 1957. He worked as a groundskeeper at Mill Run Golf Course and for many years at Rest Haven Cemetery. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #7232.\r\nJerry is survived by three daughters, Theresa (Peter) Lippert of Altoona, Susan Stanton and Mary (Ray) Silvernail both of Eau Claire; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four sisters, Joann (Erwin) Dehnke, Bonnie Dehnke, LaVonne Hrubesch, and Donna Rosenthal all of Eau Claire; his brother, Ronald (Joan) Hrubesch of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents.\r\nGraveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2005, at Rest Haven Cemetery in the town of Washington with Pastor Paul D.L. Oppedahl officiating. American Legion Post #53 will conduct military graveside rites.\r\n \r\n
