Gerald W. Rossow passed away July 2nd 2026 in his home with his wife, Cheri by his side at 83 years old. Gerald was born in Eau Claire to Charles W Rossow and Mildred (Engevold) Rossow on May 9th 1943. Gerald served in the US. Army in Germany as an Atomic Demolition Munition Specialist. After serving in the Army, he came home and married Trudie (Hughes) Brixen and from that union came 3 daughters. Gerald was a jack of all trades and a master of none. There was nothing that he wouldn't attempt to do and always made things work. His dearest love in life was the outdoors, hunting, trapping, guns, and being up in the North Country. He was a member of the Westgate Sportsmans Club and spent many hours there. He went to Alaska on a bet with a friend and ended up living there for 3 years. He loved his time in Alaska and always wanted to return. He is preceded in death by; his daughter, Catherine M Rossow and his parents, Mildred (Engevold) Rossow and Charles W Rossow, and his brother-in-law, Kenneth Boigenzahn. He is survived by; his wife, Cheri (Nelson) Rossow, his daughters, Lisa A Johnson (David), and Michelle M Rossow, his sister, Audrey L Boigenzahn, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and special friends, Mike Leskela, who was like a son to Jerry and Brittany Randall. Per Gerald's wishes, there will be no service or visitation. Arrangements were entrusted to Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services in Eau Claire.
