Geraldine Elaine Dunton Higley, 86, of Eau Claire died Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at home. She was born October 26, 1917 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edwin and Carrie (Perry) Dunton.\r\nGeraldine married Charles W. Higley on June 29, 1938 in Stillwater, MN.\r\nShe was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Charles; her four children, Carrie (Donald) Wall of Aurora, CO, Nancy Solberg of Bloomington, MN, William (Lynn) Higley of La Porte, CO, and Jennifer (Robert) Burns of Fort Collins, CO; six grandchildren, Matthew and Elizabeth Wall, Kristen Solberg, Sean Higley, Michael and Luke Burns; her sister, Dorothy Wikan of Hampton, VA; many nieces and nephews.\r\nGeraldine was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Douglas Krug and Kiralaine Krug; two sisters, Pearl Blanchette and Virginia Albright; and her brother, Earl Dunton.\r\nGraveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday (today), March 20, 2004 at Lakeview Cemetery with Pastor John E. Hosmann officiating. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral assisted the family.
