GERALDINE L. WRIGGLESWORTH, 81, of 3386 Westhaven Court, died Monday, May 11, 1998 at her home. She was born in Eau Claire on July 15, 1916 to Guy and Olena (Anderson) Woodford. Geri was raised in Eau Claire graduating from Eau Claire Senior High in 1934.\r\nShe married Lt. Frank Wrigglesworth while he was stationed at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois on February 20, 1942. While being an Air Force wife until 1964, Geri served as Air Force Officers Wives Club president at Loring Air Force Base in Maine and at George Air Force Base in California; she also served as a volunteer Gray Lady at the various bases. Upon returning to Eau Claire, Geri continued serving as a Gray Lady at Luther Hospital, where she was a recipient of the 1000 hour volunteer group both as a Gray Lady and Pink Lady. She was very active at Grace Lutheran Church and served as a volunteer worker there.\r\nGeri was busy socially with golf, cross country and downhill skiing, and square and round dancing for many years. She suffered a stroke on October 30, 1993 that curtailed any physical activity.\r\nGeri and Frank have three daughters, Gayle (Algie ) Pulley of Lafayette,CA, Nancy Lee of Boulder,CO, and Jodi (Rodney) Carlson of Longmont,CO.; six grandchildren, Amy Lee (Tony) Olson of Madison, Joel Lee of Glenwood Springs, CO, Jeffrey and Tiffany Pulley of Lafayette,CA, and Whitney and Taylor Carlson of Longmont,CO. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gayle.\r\nShe will be greatly missed by her family, relatives and many friends. She was a true inspiration to others during her illness.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Howard Fehr officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the church.\r\nHer family requests that memorials please be directed to the Frank and Geri Wrigglesworth Scholarship Fund of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Foundation or to Northwest Wisconsin Homecare Hospice.
